The East Valley Fire Department serves the residents of Terrace Heights, Moxee and the all the area east of the Yakima River from ridge-top to ridge-top.  We are bordered on the west by the Cities of Yakima and Union Gap, on the north by Selah and  the Yakima Army firing range and to the south by Fire District #5, the Lower Valley Fire Department.
 
August 1, 2012 Yakima Couty Fire District 4 Insurance rating for the district by Washingnton Survey and Rating Bureau was a 5.
 
Effective November 1, 2012:  Insurance rating by Washingnton Survey and Rating Bureau for the City of Moxee has been rated as a 6. All residential properties within 5 road miles of a responding fire station and having standard hydrant distribution water supply will also receive a Class 6 rating. Properties not meeting these requirements will receive different protection class ratings. Protection class ratings for indivigual properties are available by calling Washingnton Survey and Rating Bureau customer service at (206) 217-0101. It is recommended that residents contact their insurance agents to determine the relative effect this rating has on their insurance premiums.
 
We have 4 stations covering 17,500 citizens in an area of 125 square miles.
 
EMS Levey Coverage: Additionaly Yakima Couty Fire District 4 also covers SR24 to the Yakima County Boarder.
 
We are a combination department of volunteer, paid on call and paid members.  We rely on our members to respond to emergencies.
Members are required to maintain high levels of training and proficiency. 2012 Yakima County Fire District 4 responded to 1115 Incidents.
