Today
After fifty years, the department has emerged into a well-staffed, well
equipped and highly competent, full-service fire and safety protection agency.
The Department now services a mix of industry, concentrated residential area's and
intermingled farmland and dwellings. The total population of over 15,000 people.
In 2008 the department responded to 942 emergency incidents.
The department is staffed by 6 full time personnel (Fire Chief, District Secretary,
Training
Deputy Chief, Maintenance Lieutenant and Prevention Firefighter.) and
approximately 50 Paid on Call Firefighters, Recruit Firefighters and support personnel.
