Today
After fifty years, the department has emerged into a well-staffed, well
equipped and highly competent, full-service fire and safety protection agency.
The Departmetn now services a mix of industry, concentrated residential area's and
intermingled farmland and dwellings. The toatal population of over 11,000 people.
In 2005 the department responded to 758 emergency incidents.
The department is staffed by 5 full time personnel (Fire Chief, District Secretary,
Training Battalion Chief, Maintenance Lieutenant and Prevention Firefighter.) and
aproximatly 50 Paid on Call Firefighters, Recruit Firefighters and support personnel.
